چکیده
A study of the velocity with which adenosine 5’triphosphate interacts with the carriers of the respiratory chain presents an unusual opportunity to explore the mechanism of action of the energy transfer pathway (1). Previous studies of this mechanism have been limited to: (a) systems in which a portion of the pathway toward the carriers was measured by the Oi8 exchange reaction (2)) the adenosine 5’-triphosphate-P” exchange reaction (3, 4) (Equations 1 and 2) ; and (b) adenosine 5’-triphosphatase reactions (5, 6) in which high energy intermediates (X I (7)) are rapidly hydrolyzed by treatment with uncoupling agents (Equations 1 to 3) :

Theoretical Study of stereoelectronic effects of Boron Nitride Nanotubes in interaction with 7-hydroxy phenothiyazine 3-one sulphure dye by electron density functional theory
In this study interaction of phenothiazine sulfur dye with (5, 5) armchair open-end boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) in interaction (with a length of 7 Å) was investigated. The impacts of the estereoelectronic effect associated with donor-acceptor electron delocalizations, dipole-dipole interactions and total steric exchange energies on the structural and electronic properties and reactivity of ...

متن کاملStudies on the Charge-Transfer Interaction Between Tamoxifen Citrate and Chloranilic Acid
The complex formed as a consequence of the interaction between the electron-acceptor P-chloranilic acid and an electron donor tamoxifen citrate was employed in the assay of the drug in pure powder and tablets. Chloranilic acid was found to form a charge-transfer complex in a 1:1 stoichiometric ratio, with tamoxifen citrate. The wavelength of maximum absorption for the complex was found to...
متن کاملEnergy-linked Functions of Submitochondrial Particles Prepared from Mung Bean Mitochondria.
Submitochondrial particles from mung bean mitochondria (Phaseolus aureus) are able to catalyze an energy-linked reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate transhydrogenase reaction supported by ATP or by aerobically generated high energy intermediates. The energy transfer pathway appears to differ from that utilized for oxidative phosphorylation.Mung b...
متن کاملThe Interaction of Energy and Electron Transfer Reactions in Mitochondria +G
Two types of reaction have been described in which a reversal of electron transfer may occur: (a) energy-linked reduction of pyridine nucleotide in the presence of a flavin-linked substrate (I) and (b) energy-linked oxidation of cytochrome and reduction of pyridine nucleotide (2). In the latter, the presence of both oxidized and reduced forms of the respiratory carriers suggests that the system...
